Maansi spreading kindness, confidence, and acceptance at Willow Ridge
Sometimes the most powerful change begins with a simple message: it's okay to be yourself.
That message is exactly what Maansi set out to share when she received her Pay-It- Forward Grant through The Ev Effect. Inclusion and authenticity are deeply important to her, and she wanted younger students to understand that they never have to change who they are , their interests, beliefs, or personalities, just to fit in or make friends.
To bring this idea to life, Maansi partnered with a few of her friends and visited 4th grade classrooms at Willow Ridge Elementary School. Through a simple illustration activity along with a few sweet treats, they encouraged students to celebrate what makes each person unique and to appreciate the differences they see in others.
Maansi also left behind a special gift for each classroom: the book Each Kindness by Jacqueline Woodson. This powerful story shows how small actions, whether kind or unkind, can ripple outward and affect the people around us. It's a reminder that even the smallest choice can make a meaningful difference.
Through her project, Maansi helped younger students see that kindness, confidence, and acceptance start with being comfortable in your own skin.
Maansi's message is simple, but powerful: when people feel safe to be themselves, kindness grows naturally. And that's exactly the kind of ripple the world needs more of.
